The 1st Annual “Pups on the Runway - Halloween Costume Ball”  to benefit the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals group Bobbi and the Strays will be presented in New York City on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 6pm at The Starlight Loft at The Roger Smith Hotel. The Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet Adoption Tour will be dancing at the show and invites everyone to join the dance for pet adoption!

Fashion Show will feature costumes in categories such as: Glamour, Hilarious and Matching Pawrent. Famed Fashion Dog Designers and Celebrity Guests will be the judges for the Costume Runway Contest for fantastic prizes. Lorelei Arts is donating a Precious Pet Pawtraits Mini Masterpiece to the winning costumed pup.This petite size masterpiece depicts and celebrates the life and story of the special winner. 

Winners will receive a free entry into the 2012 Barking Beauty Pageant, plus other great prizes, including the new book release "Chasing Bocker's Tale" and his plush puppy, a Mommy Bus carrier and scented candles from SNIFF, because dogs were born to sniff.  

Proceeds from the independently produced “Pups on the Runway - Halloween Costume Ball” by Dana and Bobbi the “pup fairies” will benefit the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals group Bobbi and the Strays Foundation. Bobbi and the Strays believe that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. Their purpose is to undertake rescue operations and to provide essential care for orphaned, stray, abused and special needs cats and dogs. Through rehabilitation, socialization and adoption, they endeavor to provide a humane service to all animals that come into our care. Additionally they generate awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.   They are a 100% non-profit no-kill animal rescue organization, located in New York - with an adoption center in Queens and a shelter on Long Island. All rescued animals are examined by a veterinarian, lab tests are completed, and vaccinations are given. The dogs and cats are then spayed or neutered, treated for any health problems and rehabilitated as necessary. Their main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for all the dogs and cats that they rescue.
